The letter dated February 8 came from a Facebook post from the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office late evening February 9. The post included a document authored by Hughes County Sheriff Marcia Maxwell. Emmanuel wanted to visit the state which represents a “cultural melting pot.” While in the State of Oklahoma, he visited in the towns of Tullahassee, Taft, and Clearview. In Tullahassee, he visited with Mayor Kesha Gaines, in Taft he visited with Mayor Vernon Curl and Former Mayor and current Councilwoman Lelia Foley Davis, and in Clearview, he visited with Mayor Marilyn Jackson and Trustee Donnie Nero, and Shirley Nero.
