The Chieftains took the opening drive all the way down the field and took an early lead of 8-0 on a Dwayne Lowe Touchdown. Isiah Drake led the Outlaws on a scoring drive that tied it up 8-8. Then the Outlaws recovered and onside kick. End of 1st quarter tied up 8-8.

Read moreThe Wetumka Chieftains hosted the Alex Longhorns on Friday night. Dwayne Lowe scored on a rushing touchdown to give the Chieftains a 6-0 lead. The Longhorns then scored on a long touchdown pass and converted a 2 pt play to the take the lead 8-6. Lowe scored another rushing touchdown and 2pt conversion for The Chieftains to regain the lead 146. Chieftains defense held the Longhorns and Lowe scored again as Wetumka took a 20-6 lead. Wetumka took control of the game and Lowe scored yet another touchdown and increased the lead to 28-8. Dwayne Lowe had 6 touchdowns in the first half and Phillip Ross added a receiving touchdown as The Chieftains took a 46-14 halftime lead. In the second half Will Lewis had a rushing touchdown and Chayden Flanagan a receiving touchdown to secure a 6226 victory. The offense had 731 yards led by Dwayne Lowe with 269 all-purpose yards and Will Lewis 225 total yards. The Chieftains improved to a record of 3-3 and travel to Cyril on Thursday to take on the 5-1 pirates.
