Jordan, granddaughter of Donnie and Shirley Nero and daughter of Tanya and Marvin Blades and sister of Jada and Makai carries on the tradition of being an athletic in the family. This year, Jordan made the 2022 Metro Lakes All Confernece Basketball Team and her 4x1 track team brough home 3 rd in the State 5A track meet at Ardmore last week. She also qualified in the 4x4, 200 and 100 but did not medal. She says, wait until next year. Jordan is a junior at Glenpool High School.

Read moreJordan Marie Blades was recently named to the Metro Lakes All Conference Basketball 2021 - 2022 team. Jordan is a junior at Glenpool High School where she is very active in sports. After basketball season, Jordan runs for the Glenpool track team. Her events include the 200-meter dash, 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 relays. Jordan says she loves school, and her plans are to get a scholarship to play a sport in college. Jordan is the daughter of Marvin and Tanya Blades, and the sister to Jada Ann and Makai Lee. Jada is a 5 th grader at Glenpool and Makai is attending Pitt State on a track scholarship. Jordan’s proud grandparents are Donnie and Shirley Nero of Clearview.

Barrett, a sophomore player for Edmond North Class A, make their way to earning the state championship. T. O. has a powerful slam, and a three-point shooter. He scored seventeen points in their final game against Moore to win the title. Others attending the games included parents Antonio and Stacey Barrett, brothers Amari and Amir Barrett, Uncle and Aunt Paul and Jennifer Barrett Hunt, Uncle and Aunt Kendrick and Tina Barrett Jackson, Uncle and Aunt Kevin and Gale Parker. T. O.’s father said he was immensely proud of his son and his accomplishments. The rest of the family agreed.
