Read moreThe Ballerz basketball team of Shawnee played their best at a tournament in Tulsa on Sunday winning all four games to bring home the TWIFIG TOURNAMENT CHAMPION’S trophy. Team members include fi rst cousins Trey Jackson, Boston Stripling, and Brice Currin. Winning coach is Ted Jackson II, father of Trey Jackson. Brice Currin received the honor of MVP. Traveling to cheer the team on were parents Christopher and Becky Stripling and Katie Bronson (Boston Stripling); Gresha and Brian Currin (Brice Currin); Ted and Heather Jackson (Trey Jackson); and Ted and Marilyn Jackson (grandparents of Trey and Brice, and aunt and uncle to Boston). Boston is the grandson of the late Jack and Marie Stripling and great-grandchildren and Roy and Mary Ann Ballard of Clearview, Oklahoma.
