KIRBY VAN HAREN, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

KIRBY VAN HAREN, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR and number 00 on the Moss Softball team, signed to play softball at Seminole State College on November 15th, 2021. She helped take the Moss Lady Pirates Softball team to state this year where they earned State Runner Up. Kirby plays short-stop for the Lady Pirates Softball team. The Lady Pirates’ record was 37-2. Kirby qualified for Alternate All-State as well. Her batting average was 616 and she had 45 RBI’s.

KADEE BRIDGER, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

KADEE BRIDGER, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR is number 24 on the Moss Softball team. She had a batting average of 406 during the fall fast pitch season. 96 at bats, 24 runs, 39 hits. RBI was 29. Kadee and the Moss Lady Pirates made it to the fast pitch state tournament where they earned state runner up. Their season record was 37-2. They were also: LRC tournament champs, kiowa-stuart tourney champs, new lima tourney champs, district and regionals champs. Kadee signed on February 1st, 2022 with Southwestern Christian University to play collegiate softball.

Meet Darlean Calip, Sapulpa girls’ basketball coach, Felix Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, and Dewey McClain of the Atlanta Falcons. Also, Reginald “ICE” Terry of Booker T. Washington will serve as Emcee.

Washington Post Representative Visits Black Towns

Cymone Davis of Tulsa Remote organized a Black Towns and Tulsa Greenwood District Tour for her guest, Emmanuel Felton of New York City, New York, representing the Washington Post. Emmanuel wanted to visit the state which represents a “cultural melting pot.” While in the State of Oklahoma, he visited in the towns of Tullahassee, Taft, and Clearview. In Tullahassee, he visited with Mayor Kesha Gaines, in Taft he visited with Mayor Vernon Curl and Former Mayor and current Councilwoman Lelia Foley Davis, and in Clearview, he visited with Mayor Marilyn Jackson and Trustee Donnie Nero, and Shirley Nero.
