Services Eulogy: Christopher Plunkett Temple & Sons Funeral Directors, Inc Clearview Community Center Internment: Clearview Cemetery Marjorie Plunkett, born in Clearview, Oklahoma, on August 6, 1942, closed her eyes and fell asleep for the last time at age of 82. Marjorie was the fifth-born daughter of Imogene and Alphonso Bruton. Marjorie attended Elementary School and High School in her hometown of Clearview and was respected and loved members of her community. Marjorie was baptized member of her family Church, Tyree Chapel AME.

Golden Family Celebrates 101st Family Reunion

For 101 years, the Golden Family has celebrated a reunion during the Labor Day weekend in Clearview, Oklahoma. Family members from all points of the United States travel to Clearview to celebrate the remarkable remembrance of the lady of began the uniting of this family. In 1906, Dolly Golden and her husband Ashford Miner and their eight children traveled from Texas to Clearview, Indian Territory to begin a new life. In December, 1907, one more child was born to the family, Ashford passed in 1913, leaving Dolly a widow. She remained in Clearview until her death in August of 1953.

Sympathy is extended to the Plunkett family on the death of Marjorie Plunkett, a longtime resident of Clearview, Oklahoma. Prayers are requested for Llyod David and Lovie Samilton, both who have been spent time in the hospital. In addition, Christopher Stripling was released from the hospital on Tuesday after spending time in ICU with breathing problems. He really needs your prayers. Others on our sick list include Bobby West (lung cancer), Otis Davis, Terry Normore, Jerry French (cancer), Irene Carson, Taft Forshee, Tiger French, Wilbert Zackery, Brady Drake (cancer), and Earnest Hamilton.

Lyndall Medford Robertson was born on August 12, 1923 and went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024. Graveside services will be held at Calvin Cemetery on Friday, September 27th, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Garrett Napier, under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
