A Raisin in the Sun

On Sunday afternoon, the Clearview Brown Suggas and three spouses boarded the Nero van to travel to Tulsa to see the Black Broadway Tulsa Presents: “A Raisin in The Sun.” written by Lorraine Hansberry directed by David Harris. The production lasted approximately three hours. Afterwards, the group departed for a late evening dinner at “Fixins Soul Kitchen” in downtown Tulsa. There they met owner Kevin Johnson, former Phoenix Suns basketball player. It was a great evening for Marilyn Jackson, Rita Cooksey, Pat Johnson, Leslie Vick, Donnie and Shirley Nero, Claud and Elaine Evans, and Peter and Helen Bush.

Eighty-seven-year Clifford Normore began making toys of his memory from when he was a kid back in the 1930s and 1940s, when he could not go out and purchase toys to play with. He would make toys out of anything he could find.
