Service held for Ruby Snyder

Ruby Ann Snyder passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St Anthony’s in Oklahoma City at the age of 90.

Ruby was born September 19, 1928 in Stonewall, Oklahoma to Steve Clopton and Lillie Ingram Clopton.  Ruby graduated from Holdenville High School in 1948.  She married Cecil Snyder in Capitol Heights Baptist Church in Holdenville on June 5, 1948.  Ruby loved to travel and bowl.  In fact, she was one pin away from a perfect game in bowling.  She loved to attend all her sons and grandkids sports and activities.   

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil Snyder, her brothers Jimmy Clopton and Thurman Clopton, and her sisters Lucille Davenport, Velma Berryman and Sue Long.  

She is survived by her son Kenny and his wife Tomaletta Snyder, Holdenville; son Mike and his wife Glenda Snyder Seminole; sister Jean Cobb, Choctaw; brother Bill Clopton, Holdenville; granddaughter Ashlie Snyder Oklahoma City; grandson Shawn Snyder and wife Vanessa, and step-son Zach, Seminole; granddaughter Heather (Snyder) Tow and husband Brad Tow, Fayetteville, Arkansas; and great grandchildren Madeline Tow, Marley Tow, Greyson Snyder and Mikenlea Snyder.

Funeral service were 1:30 PM Tuesday January 8th , at the Nazarene Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Dane Robinson officiating, assisted by Bill Robinson and Mike Snyder.

Pallbearers were Brad Tow, Blake Johnson, Anthony Regan, Wade Rigney, David Carter, Jeff Pritchard and Ashlie Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Grizzle, Dallas Pryor, Byron, Cates, John Gibson, John Allford, Donald Pittman, Ronald Pittman and Gordon McKane. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
