Scarlett Rose Gibbs

Scarlett Rose Gibbs passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the age of 79 years.

Scarlett was the daughter of John & Mildred (Jones) Hallford, born on January 11, 1943 in Success, Arkansas, where she was brought up and attended schools. She lived in Rockford, Illinois for several years, where she met and married Johnny Ford. Holdenville has been her home since the late 1960s. She worked for several years as both CNA and CMA at Boyce Manor, Heritage Village, and McCalls Chapel nursing homes. She enjoyed crafting, painting, coloring, listening to music of all kinds, and she loved spending time taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ford; her parents, John & Mildred Hallford; brother Wendell Hallford, and sister Regina Harris.

She is survived by three children: Jina Hallford, Lisa Tate, and Jerry Ford, all of Holdenville; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren; other family members and many friends, including her best friend, Linda Caudill of Sand Springs.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 10:30am at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel.
