Jerome Allen Isham

Jerome Allen Isham passed away at his home in Oklahoma City on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the age of 63 years.

Jerome was the son of Clarence & Christine (Davis) Isham, born on December 20, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. He was brought up and attended schools in Oklahoma City. He attended Northwest Classen High School, and later earned his GED.

Jerome lived his entire adult life in Oklahoma City. He worked for many years as a welder, and then as a roofer until he retired. He enjoyed bike riding, watching various sports, particularly OU football and baseball and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. He loved playing catch, both football and basketball, with the kids. He attended Little Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, and for the past seven years attended First Indian Baptist Church in Moore.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Isham and Christine Isham Wolfe; three brothers: Bobby Isham, Michael Isham, and Charley Isham, and one sister, Sandy Isham.

He is survived by his companion, Gina Foster, of the home; two daughters, Cathy Ortiz of Oklahoma City, and Lerissa Isham of Norman; three grandchildren: Brendan Ortiz, Jasmine Isham, and Triston Martin; the mother of his children, Brenda Isham of Oklahoma City; his companion Gina’s children, Ranessa Foster and Daniel Foster, both of the home; siblings: Ted & Debra Isham of Oklahoma City, Glen & Penny Isham of Holdenville, David Isham of Bad River WI, Susan Isham of Lamar, Arlene McHenry (Joe) of Okmulgee, Sherri Isham, Sheila Isham, Clancey Isham, Steven Isham, and Elliott Sunn, all of Flambeau WI; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 2:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Jerome will be laid to rest at Lamar Cemetery. Rev. Larry ‘Biscuit’ Factor is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Clay Dorsey, Danny Powell, James Deale, Joe McHenry, Moses Isham, and Siah Isham. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Isham, Theodore Isham, David Isham, Brendan Ortiz, and Triston Martin.

Wake service will be Friday, August 5, 2022, 7:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel.
