Marguerite Bicknell French/Logan

Marguerite Bicknell French/Logan Born February 19, 1926 in Muskogee, OK Died January 21, 2024 in Austin, TX Marguerite grew up in Wetumka, attending school there and participating in band, cheerleading, and other activities, and working in her father’s drugstore. She attended Oklahoma State University.

Marguerite was one of the first women to graduate from Texas A&M, in 1969, when she earned her Master’s Degree. She was so proud of her Aggie ring, and we were so proud of her! She taught elementary school beginning in 1964 and always said she would teach until she dropped dead in the classroom, but retired after over 25 years to care for her sister during her battle with breast cancer.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Randolph Logan, and her daughter, Laura Anne Logan-Cearley, her sister, Eleanor Vivona, her first husband, Walter "Ron" Logan (who died in 1960), her second husband, Joseph French, an infant brother, and her parents, Robert C. and Marguerite K. Bicknell.

She is survived by her son, Robert Logan, who was by her side when she died, daughter Evelyn Logan, granddaughters Laura and Amelia, grandsons Nathan, Jon Michael, Adam and his wife Jenny, great-granddaughters Keira, Mariah, Iliana and Isabella, and great-grandsons Raistlin and Aleksander.
