Irvin Elliott

Irvin Elliott passed away at his home in Braggs, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 74 years.
Irvin is the son of Rev.
Tom and Bea (Dilbeck) Elliott, the tenth of their ten children. He was born on September 4, 1951, in Calvin, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended school, graduating Calvin High School with the Class of
1968. He joined the U. S. Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam and the Midwest region of the U.S.
He worked in Personnel Administration and for a brief time as a recruiter, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before he retired in 1995 after twenty years of service. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Drafting and Design, and drafted plan for the HeadStart building on the Calvin School campus. He worked for a while as a long-haul truck- er before officially retiring in 2000. He was married to Glenda Davison on De- cember 2, 2000, in Calvin.
Irvin’s interests were many and varied. He en- joyed firearms, vehicles and his Harley-Davidson.
One of the “coolest” moments was winning his 1970 Chevy Camaro and Pink Floyd guitar from Biker’s Against Drunk Drivers (“BADD”). Along with this charitable organization, he was dedicated to supporting military troops and all first responders and was a member of the VFW.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Bea Elliott; his first wife of 28 years, Peggy; six siblings: Clifford, Ellen, Zora, Buford, Effie and Barbara.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Glen da, of the home; five children: one
son, two daughters, and two sons-in-law he considered his own sons: David Elliott of Norman, Michelle and Dan Au of Jefferson WI, Sherrie and Tim Pippin of Broken Arrow: three stepchildren: Delmar and Christy Davison of Braggs, Raymond ‘Skip’ and Cassie Romans of Mounds, Glenda and Nelson Rakes of Gildford, MT; numerous grandchildren: Ashley and Connor Murdoch, Peggy Au, Owen Diggins, Nathan and Felicia Diggins, Anna Pippin, D.J. and Kristen Pippin, William Pippin, Nick Rakes, Charlie Rakes, Ryan Rakes, Ryan Dobbins; five great-grandchildren: Leo, Ellie, Sam, Sadie, Sunny and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three sisters; Grace Sanford of Calvin, Billie Cosper of Talihina, and Meredith Catlett of Sand Springs; other family members and many friends.
Funeral services will be Fri- day, November 14, 2025, 2:00 pm at Calvin Free Will Baptist Church and Irvin will be laid to rest with military honors at Blue Ridge Cemetery south of Calvin. Rev.
Jim Catlett is the officiating minister with the assistance of Rev. Darrell Morgan.
