Doretha (Peaches) King lift with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at home. She enjoyed 72 great years here.

Doretha was born on October 30, 1949 to Charlie King and Geneva (Harmon) King in Holdenville, OK. She graduated from Holdenville High School in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was a member of The Garden Oakes Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Doretha enjoyed shopping cooking, reading her comics, watching her soap operas and spending time with all of her family. She loved going out to eat and counting her coins.

Doretha was a very happy and spunky woman. She loved to joke around and tell you what to do. That was our princess and we will miss her dearly.

Doretha, which we all called “Peaches”, is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Geneva (Harmon) King; her sisters Laura King, Belinda Olden, and her twin sister Coretha Bennett (Chee-Chee); and brother Willie King.

She is survived by sisters Rosa Barnett, Marjorie Zolicoffer, and Billie Louden; nieces Hillary Barnett, Ayshjah Barnett, and Adliyah Barnett. Doretha is survived by a long host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial service for Doretha were 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 27th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Brother Willie Balloon officiating. Sister Doretha King’s Homecoming was at the Buckner Cemetery north of Holdenville, Oklahoma. Pallbearers were Daniel Dindy, Aaron Louden, Charles Matthew Olden, and Keith Florie.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
