Read moreLawrence Dale Ross was born on July 2nd,1942 in Hinton, Oklahoma and passed from this life peacefully at his home December 21st, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma. His parents were Mahdeen and Alvin Ross. He was one of three boys, Lloyd Allen was the oldest, Danny Kay was the youngest leaving Dale as the middle child. The boys grew up and remained close throughout their lives and loved spending time together. He grew up on the family farm in Sickles, Oklahoma and learned to work in the peanut fields from an early age and started driving the tractor at eight. Dale liked to tell of one of his favorite childhood memories when the whole family, aunts, uncles and cousins would all get together for a “chicken picking”. They would gather and have a big outdoor chicken picking where they would pluck and prepare the chickens and take them to the meat locker in Hinton to enjoy throughout the year.
