Calvin Boys rank 2nd in state in Cross-Country

THE CALVIN BULLDOGS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM brought home the team championship at the North Rock Creek XC meet on October 16th. Every team member finished in the top runners group bringing home a medal. The team is currently ranked #2 in the State in Class B for cross country. When asked about the success of his team, Coach Florie stated, “it’s all them. They work hard and push themselves every day. Cecil Cockman celebrates 90th birthday

CECIL COCKMAN RECENTLY CELEBRATED HIS 90TH BIRTHDAY. Due to the Coronavirus, the family could not have a party, but members of his family and his neighbors came over to enjoy the cakes. Pictured seated at left are Cecil and his wife Beverly. Standing are Gina Speir, daughter Cindy Roby and her husband Jack. At right, Cecil is pictured with his pastor and neighbors Claude and Raynette Butler. Cecil is a dear friend and one of the finest gentlemen we’ve ever known.

Dr. Charles Max Williams

Dr. Charles Max Williams was born July 10, 1945 in Wewoka, OK to Charles and Lois (Lollis) Williams. As a young child, he assisted with the building of their new family home. At the age of 10, the family moved into their new home just North of Holdenville, OK. Max grew up as an only child, but he always thought of his cousin, Carolyn Leslie, as his older sister. The home stood strong on the family farm, and both remained in the family until 2017.
