Pageturners: New Book Club for Hughes County Readers

Pickens Library and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church have announced sponsorship of a new book club for Hughes county, to be called “Pageturners,” which will feature works of fiction and non-fiction alike, as club members so choose. Clearview OHCE Group Meet

The Clearview OHCE Brown Suggas met on Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. for their monthly meeting at the Main Street Community Building. Special guest of evening was Dotte’ Bennett, formerly of Okemah and a Brown Sugga visited the group. Dotte’ lives in Damondhead, Mississippi where her children reside. Dotte’ shared her new life in Mississippi and photos. Of course, her traveling partner and best friend for over forty years was no stranger to the group shared traveling stories she and Dotte’ have gone on and future travel plans. Both ladies are widows and have more miles to travel together. After a great meal together, the group discussed plans for the fall with OHCE and said then bid farewell to Dotte’ and Sheila.
