There will be a Golden Family Reunion planning meeting on May 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the school pavilion. Memorial Day is approaching. The town is asking those who live out of town to please make your donations early. You may send your donations to the Town of Clearview, 302 West Main Street, Clearview, 74880. Two trustee positions are up for election in May. There are two trustee positions open. Anyone wishing to run for these positions may file with Shirley Nero, secretary/ clerk. Election will be help Tuesday, May 11 at the Clearview Main Street Community Building. Please continue your prayers for those on the sick list Joyce Barrett, Sharon Johnson Patton, L. C. May is Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage

Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month is a commemoration of the culture, traditions, and history of Asian American and Pacific Islander people in the United States. In 1978, Congress passed a joint Congressional Resolution to pay tribute to Asian Pacific American Heritage Week during the first week of May and in 1992, the month of May was permanently designated as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. During Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, communities commemorate the achievements and contributions of people who are Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) with community festivals, government-sponsored activities, and educational activities for students.

Don’t Ever Forget Mother’s Day!

The year was 1974 and I was a freshman in college. A year full of new experiences, busy schedules, and lots of friends. Amidst all the busyness I still made time to write a letter to my Mom and Dad several times a week. Mom and I had a very close relationship. Given that, you would think it impossible that I could forget my Mother on Mother’s Day. But I did.
