At approximately 2:40pm on July 9, Officer Jeremy Chasteen of the Wetumka Police Department pulled over a white Chevy pickup for speeding, 36mph in a 25mph zone. While asking the driver for his license and registration, Officer Chasteen smelled a strong smell of what he believed to be marijuana. He asked the driver, later identified as Estaban Duenas, 25 of Port Arthur, Texas, if he had any marijuana in his possession.
