Wayne Edward Wilson passed away Friday, November 13th, 2020 at his home in Holdenville at the age of 89. Wayne was born July 24th, 1931 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Willard and Iva Holt Wilson. He graduated from Holdenville High School in 1950. After graduation, Wayne joined the Navy and served four years. Wayne attended East Central University after returning from the Navy. He enjoyed farming his entire life. Wayne’s 35 year career in the oil and gas industry began at Troup & Suttles which became RWIT where he was a Partner and General Manager

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Morris and brother-in-law Jim Morris. He is survived by his wife Lillian Wilson of the home, sons: Mike Wilson and wife Della of Pauls Valley, Dr. Mark Wilson and wife Karen of Pauls Valley, Lee Shipley of Edmond, and Larry Shipley of Edmond; Grandchildren: Jayme Wilson of Oklahoma City, Lauren Patton and husband Jess of Pauls Valley, Lukas Wilson and wife Taylor of Pauls Valley, Laydin Wilson and fiance’ Ryan Fraley of Pauls Valley, Taylor Shipley of Dallas, Marcus Wolf and husband John Mcquillen of New York City, Jenni Wolf of Moore, Clint and wife Leesa Peters of Calvin, and Kayla Peters of Calvin He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Jack, and Libby Patton and Symeon Wilson all of Pauls Valley, Raylon, Jonas and Grayson Peters of Calvin; and one brother Doyle Wilson and wife Mary, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Mike, Mark, Lukas, Lee, Larry, and Bryan. Honorary pallbearers are Don Shields, Bob Sherry, John Giles, and Randy Fletcher

Services will be held at Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church at 2:00PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 with Pastor Robert Foos officiating.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
