Sylvanna Georgia Cald - well was born August 22, 1945, in Wetumka, Okla - homa to Sammy Fish and Martha Larion (Berryhill) Fish. She passed away Saturday, Novem - ber 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

Sylvanna was a longtime resi - dent of the We - tumka area. She was a graduate of Wetumka High School, Chilocco Boarding School and East Central Universi - ty of Ada receiving a Bach - elor of Science in special education degree and a li - censed teacher in the state of Oklahoma. Sylvanna also was an honor gradu - ate from Wright Business School in information tech - nology. She worked with the Native American Alter - native School in OKC, pro - viding ten urban inner-city students with basic edu - cational studies. After the project ended, Sylvanna moved onto work in the federal program with the summer youth program in OKC. There, she su - pervised native American youth that she placed in various job opportunities to enhance their job skills. Sylvanna was employed by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, Shawnee, Oklahoma as director of education. She then went home to work for her tribe, Kialegee Tribal Town as a contractor for the transportation pro - gram and later was elevat - ed to director of transporta - tion. She moved onto and became fiscal director for Kialegee Gas and Oil. Syl - vanna was chairperson for the Wetumka Indian Com -

munity Program, which she re - signed to run for the Tvkvpvtce district in a legislative position in Mvskoke National Council. She won while still continuing to be the director of human resources with the Thlopth - locco Tribal Town for the casi - no, supervising 122 workers. Sylvanna provided a home for young teens, she received educator of the year OCIO, OKC. She also served on the advisory board of the Kialegee Tribal Twon Business Commit - tee and as Sr. Miss Kialegee for 2022 2024. Sylvanna en - joyed hunting and fishing and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn Caldwell (2015), one son and one sister, Dorothy Jean.

Survivors include one son, Tryg Jorgensen (Dianne) of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Margie Scott of We - tumka and Mary Proctor of Prague; three step-sons, Ed - ward Jo Caldwell (Yolanda), Johnny Adam Caldwell and Jimmy Lynn Caldwell; one step-daughter, Misty Lynn Collins (Jimmy); grandchil - dren, Johnny Dale Caldwell, Amando Jo Caldwell, Cody Lynn Caldwell (Tiffany), Dustin Wayne Caldwell (Aspen), Wy - att Daniel Caldwell (Hailey), Austin Leigh Caldwell (Kasey) John Stephan Kosztak (Mi - kaya) and Toni Cheyenne Car - penter (Trevor); three nieces, Alice Scott (Tony), Deborah Sue Scott and Marian Lar - ney (Russell) and numerous great-grandchildren.
