Stephanie Gail Pigeon-Brown was born June 23, 1963 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Jessie Pigeon and Mary Jean Hicks. Her grandparents were Charlie Mike, Lily Tiger Hicks, along with Joseph and Jenette Green Pigeon. Stephanie graduated from Weleetka High School in May 1981. Then she attended Connor State College in Warner, Oklahoma and Sapulpa votech with a certificate in medical assistance, then she started working for Creek Nation Health Symposium in November 1988. She kept working until September 2010 in medical records.

On March 19, 1997. Stephanie Gail and Douglas James Brown were married. No children were born to this union. In June 2008 the couple divorced.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Pigeon and Mary Jean Smith. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Lester and Johnathan; by aunts, Eliza Hicks, Nettie Pigeon Francis, Lorna Pigeon Jack, Gladys Fields; by her uncles, Leo Lee Hicks Sr., Mitheu Jack, David Francis, Buddy T. Fields; by her grandparents, Charlie and Lily Tiger Hicks, Edna Harjo Hicks Mitchell, Joseph and Jeanette Green, and by her sister-in-law Chassity Marie Thompson Pigeon.

Survivors are her brother Stanley Guy (Jeannie) Pigeon, Virgil Byrd (Jo Ann) Pigeon, and Ricky Pigeon, all of Weleetka, Oklahoma. She is survived by her Nieces and Nephews, Jeremy Guy (Ada) Pigeon of Okemah, Jennifer Renee (Jesse) Rector of Liberty Mounds, Jessica Dawn Pigeon Johnson of Tulsa, Rebecca Ann (Jason) Parks of Weleetka, Michael Pigeon of Weleetka, and Rachel Kaye Pigeon, Tulsa and Katie Jo (Derrick) Sanford of Okmulgee. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews Cale and Rigby Rector of Liberty Mounds, Hadlea Pigeon, Jaylei and Jozlyn Parks of Weleetka, Khloe Goodman of Weleetka, Emma Whitman and Spencer Henneha of Okemah. Aunts Winey Hicks Beaver of Henryetta, Beatrice Hicks (Tracy) Scates of Chouteau, and by her uncles Simeon Lee of Okemah, and Charlie Mike (Belinda) Hicks of Wagner.

Pallbearers will be Tim Williams, Jeremy Pigeon, Michael Pigeon, Grant Sheneman, Kirby Green, Jason Parks, Jeremy Lewis, and Mellow A. Mendez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Randall Kemp, Dr. Doron Street, Dr. Billy Beets, Simeon Lee, Charles Simmons, Cael and Rigby Rector, Sean Roberts, Frank Lewis, Gallen Sheneman, Garrett Sheneman, Guy Sheneman and Dan Parrish.

The wake service was held on Monday, March 28 at 6 P.M. at Christ’s Community Church of Weleetka. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 29 at 11:00am at Christ’s Community Church of Weleetka, Interment followed at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka with Rev. Scott Harjo officiating.

Funeral Services were under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
