Service today for Johnny Harrell Price

Johnny “Harrell” Price passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his home in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 90.

Harrell was born December 20, 1931 in Spaulding, Oklahoma to J.M. Price and Hattie (Coppedge) Price. Harrell graduated from Spaulding Public School. He married Nora Melbalene Evans on November 29, 1952 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Harrell was a member of Iron Workers’ Local Union #48 and worked in the commercial construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking care of animals, feeding birds, and ducks. Harrell loved spending time with his grandkids, ranching and telling stories.

Harrell is preceded in death by his parents; son Johnny Harrell Price Jr.; brothers Billy Price, Bobby Price, Darrell Price and Kenneth Price.

He is survived by his wife Melba of the home; son Robbie Price and wife Michelle of Ada; daughter-in-law Sheila Price of Copan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Taylor Blackburn and husband Tyler of Owasso, Jacob Price and fiance Brittany Bodie of Ramona, Hannah Price of Oklahoma City, and Hunter Price of Ada; great-grandson Zaidin Anderson; siblings, Garland Price and wife Emily of Mustang, and Carolyn Sawyer and husband Jack of Holdenville; niece D o n n a Leewright and husband Mike of Bristow;, nephew Ronnie Langdon and wife Sussie of Tulsa; niece Gail Langdon of Tulsa; great-nieces and nephew and great-great-nieces and nephews. Harrell is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be 2:00 PM-7:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 14, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville with Pastor Abraham Gomez officiating. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Hunter Price, Jake Price, Tyler Blackburn, Clyde Collis, Dale Ramsey and Riley Berry.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
