Service held for Willard Hill

Willard Hill was not a church going man. But he watched preaching on TV every Sunday morning while eating breakfast.

Willard (Pete) went to Heaven to be with God on Thursday January 11th , 2019 at Hillcrest Hospital in Henryetta, OK at the age of 84 of Pneumonia and other elements. He was born August 1, 1934 in Wetumka OK, to Sam and Alma Hill.

He grew up in Wetumka and Gopher Hill area. He married Luann Timmons, of Wetumka on Sept. 1, 1970, in Holden-ville, OK.

He moved into his home place on Gopher Hill with Luann. They raised three daughters ,

Cheryl Winn, Sheila Poole, and Amanda Daniels.

They gave him three granddaughters, Melissa Poole, Emily Winn and Britty Daniels, and three grandsons, Waylon Allen Poole, Keith Lee Winn, and Walker Allen Poole.

Three sons-in-law—Allen Poole, Kevin Winn, Chad Daniel and one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Poole. Numerous nieces and nephew.

He had two sisters, Evelyn Basque of Dustin and Mildred Smith of Wetumka. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Irvin Hill, Alvin Hill and one sister, Margaret Timmons.

He is survived by his wife, Luann of their home on Gopher Hill, north of Wetumka.

Willard (Pete) did carpenter work with his dad, Sam Hill. He also worked with Cotton Sanders at the City of Wetumka, in the electric department. Willard liked to work in his shop building taking care of the yard and garden work.

He liked to visit with his neighbor friends and relatives. He liked selling watermelons and veg. and cantaloupes in the summer, with George Crump and others.

Funeral services were held Tuesday January 22nd at 10:00 AM at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Audie Swinney M.D. officiating. Pallbearers were Allen Poole, Kevin Winn, Brian Timmons, Waylon Poole, John Carter, and Jeremiah Wright.

Interment followed in Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of William-Spradlin Funeral Home, in Wetumka.

Honorary pallbearers were George Crump, Michael Zientientek, Keith Winn, Jim Nolen, Hunters Timmons, Albert Poole.
