Service held for Sharon Kay Johnson

Sharon Kay Johnson of Holdenville passed away on August 22, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on March 26, 1953 in Holdenville to Richard Harjo and Louise Burgess Harjo. She graduated from Sasakwa High School. She worked as a counselor for Seminole Nation Substance Abuse Program. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, the Young and Restless, going to garage sales and going shopping with her daughter. She loved spending time with her family. An avid sports fan, she also liked to watch the Thunder and OU play.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Harjo Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Louise Burgess Harjo of Sasakwa, children Stephanie McElroy and husband Keith of Yukon, Josee Adams and Joel Adams both of Holdenville, grandchildren Logan Clay, Joshua McElroy, and Jordyn McElroy, siblings Richard Harjo Jr. of Yukon, Geraldine Harjo and husband Gene of Shawnee, Gerald Harjo and wife Elaine of Latta, Ralphalita Maldonado and husband Miguel of Sasakwa, Sonya Harjo of Oklahoma City, Brittanie Harjo of Bethel, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Wake services are scheduled for 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville. Pastor Jay Downey will officiate.

Funeral service was held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa. Rev. Frank Moppin assisted by Kellos Walker officiated the service. Pallbearers were Randy Turner, Daniel Napier, Stan Johnson, Quan Nao, David Jones, and Joshua Matal. Honorary bearers were Tanner Wood, Gerald Harjo, Elijah Harjo, Richard Harjo, Gene Harjo, and Miquel Maldonado. Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
