Service held for Saundra Jewel Calvert
Saundra Jewel Calvert passed away Thursday February 14, 2019, in Holdenville at the age of 71. Saundra was born September 13, 1947 in Holden-ville to Louis and Lois Anglin McDaniel.
After graduating Saundra married Jimmy Calvert and worked as a CPN for many years until her retirement. Saundra loved her boys and spending time with family, going to her boy’s ballgames, playing bingo, fi shing and spoiling her grandkids.
Saundra is preceded in death by her parents, her son Kevin Calvert, brother Edward McDaniel, and
her sister-in-law Glenda Scroggins.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Calvert; sons Gary and wife Kris Calvert, Terry and wife Debby, and Alfred Dean Calvert, all of Wewoka; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn and husband Johnny Trimble of Wewoka; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Scroggins of Wewoka, and David and wife Joyce Calvert of Wewoka; and sister-in-law Marsha and husband Larry Sawyer of Wewoka.
Pallbearers were Gary Calvert, Terry Calvert, Dean Calvert, Kelly Calvert, Stephen Calvert, Cody Coats and Cord Calvert. Honorary pallberers were Kayla Calvert, Kristina Calvert Jensen, Mathew Calvert, Steven D. Calvert and Christopher McDaniel.
Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. February 19th , at New Life church with Pastor Tommy Azlin and Pastor Sam Ketcher officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Services were under the direction of Stout Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Oklahoma.
