Service held for Rev. Patrick Smith
Patrick Smith, “Poppie” age 77 was born December 31, 1940 in Lafayette, LA. He passed away Thursday September 27, 2018 in his home located in Oklahoma City, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.
Patrick proudly served in the military and is a Veteran for the US Navy. He graduated the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO. He passionately preached the gospel
in CA, TN, KS, AR and OK for over 30 years before retiring. He served in the Holdenville Church of the Nazarene from 1998 to 2007.
Patrick is survived by wife of 56 years Patricia Smith of Oklahoma City, and two daughters Julie Smith and Stephanie Roedl. Julie Smith and husband Michael of Blanchard, OK. Stephanie Roedl and husband Richard of Oklahoma City along with grandsons Jeremy Clegg, Kalen Roedl, Seth Roedl and Chase Roedl and his wife Kaitlyn all of Oklahoma City and a brother Austin Smith of LA.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Monday October 1, 2018 at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church 6606 NW 16th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73127 with Rev Jim Smith and Rev Hardy Powers officiating. Burial was in Vondel Smith Cemetery.
