George Lewis Dancy was born April 3, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Jesse and Narcis (Kraus) Dancy. He passed away July 14, 2025, at his home in Wetumka, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Herman and Milton.
