“Benny” Miller passed away Wednesday September 16, 2020, at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 71.

Benny was born October 25, 1948 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ray Benson Miller and Myrtle O. (Wilson) Miller. He was raised in Gerty until his senior year when he graduated from Calvin High School. Benny was a professional provider.

He married Janice Hinze July 4, 1969 at Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Holdenville. They celebrated their 51 st Wedding Anniversary in July. Benny was a 32 nd degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Capital Height Missionary Baptist Church in Holdenville. Benny enjoyed restoring old cars, listening to old country music, and watching the news. He loved playing with his grandkids, animals and spending time with his family. Benny enjoyed spreading happiness and drinking coffee at David’s.

Benny is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Grover Lee Miller.

He is survived by his wife Janice of the home; daughter Sumer J. Col-lins and husband Brad of Norman; son Cameron B.H. Miller and wife Alicia of Holdenville; grandchildren Devin B. Collins, Sidney J. Collins, Jack Benson Collins, Logan Michael Sims, Audrey M. Miller, Presley R. Louromure Miller and one on the way; brother Randal Miller and wife Violet of Meeker, OK. Benny is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Benny’s favorite saying. “Life is a funny, funny game, you can be happy if you have a mind to. Amen Brother Ben say it again.”

Pallbearers are Jeff Hinze, Scotty Orr, Brad Collins, David Dixon, Kenny Wilson and Gary Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Crawford, Randall Miller, Brent Stone, Jimmy Caves, Gerald Haney, Queston Yarbrough, Charlie Ownbey, Kenneth Brinlee, and the men of the church.

Funeral services were 2:00 pm Monday, September 21st , at Capital Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Holdenville with Pastor Mack Peercy officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville.
