Service Friday for Jimmy Chupco

James “Jimmy” Leroy Chupco was born on June 1, 1937 to Rev. Lee and Helen Chupco. He passed from this life on April 3, 2019.

He attended Chilocco Indian School and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked primarily as a carpenter, a trade he learned from his grandfather, Billie Palmer. He lived in the Yeager Community for several years. James’ tribal town was Tokapachee and his clan was Sweet Potato.

James is preceded in death by his wife Mavin Anne; parents, Rev. Lee and Helen (Palmer) Chupco; grandparents, Billie and Bessie (McCosar) Palmer; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by sister Waukomis (Chupco) Lewis and five nieces and eight nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00p at the Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
