Richard Michael Fehl, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
Rich was born on March 6, 1967, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Frederick M. Fehl and Anna B. (Petruna) Fehl. He graduated from Keystone Oaks High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris College. Rich built a long and meaningful career defined by his gift for making work more efficient and people more em powered. During his years with McDonald’s, he de- veloped a deep love for efficiency, teamwork, and doing things the right way—a philosophy that carried him through decades of leadership. He rose through the ranks to become Operations Manager with USC Consulting Group, VP of Operations & Supply Chain at Rembrandt Foods, Director of Warehouse Operations at OLM Food Solutions, and most recently contributed his expertise at Denali Water Solutions.
Along the way, he trained and mentored dozens of colleagues, many of whom became lifelong friends. His legacy of continuous improvement lives on in the systems he built and the people he lifted up. But Rich’s true legacy was not in titles or industries—it was in how he lived and loved. He was a giver by nature, always seeking to help before being asked. He believed in partnership in every sense of the word, changing diapers, cleaning, and raising his boys hand-in-hand with his wife, Sara. Together, they built a marriage rooted in humor, resilience, and the shared belief that home is wherever they were together. In 2018, Rich began what he called his “Family 2.0,” marrying Sara Treadwell on June 9, 2018, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. With Sara and their two young sons, Holden and Richard (“Baby Richie”), he found renewed purpose and joy. His daughters, Myia Irwin (Matthew) and Ciera Mead (Jonathan), gave him pride and comfort, and he cherished the bond they shared. Rich loved deeply, though words didn’t always come easily—especially in the face of illness. Instead, he expressed love through action, humor, and presence. He was
goofy, quick-witted, and the king of lyrical parodies-his tone- deaf pipes belting Yacht Rock and “Weird Al”-worthy remakes that made his family laugh until they cried.
Even as cancer tested his body and mind, he remained intentional—seeking to repair regrets, build from mistakes, and leave his family with more love than loss. He faced grim statistics with optimism, saying, “Well, what choice do I have? I have four kids who need me.” That unshakable resolve was his final act of love.
Rich is preceded in death by his parents Anna and Fred; his brother, Paul Fehl; and brother-in-law Thomas Jack (TJ) Treadwell, along with numerous family members who welcomed him home. He is survived by his wife, Sara; children, Myia (Matthew), Ciera (Jonathan), Holden, and Richard (“Richie”); siblings, Barbara Totedo (Michael Jr.), Frederick Fehl (Nancy), Christopher Fehl (Kate); in-laws, Natalie Tapley (Bryan), Hannah North, and Scot Treadwell (Vicki); as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who became family. Rich will be remembered for his kindness, hu- mor, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love that cannot be measured in years or accomplishments but in the countless lives he touched.
