Our Sympathies extended to the families of... Sheri Leanne Hill

Sheri Leanne Hill, age 55, died peacefully in the presence of her family on September 5, 2021. Sheri attended Wetumka High School and later earned her GED. She went on to attend college and work professionally in various fields including Home Health, Insurance, and running her own businesses and “side hustles” as she called them.

On November 11, 1965 Sheri Leanne Koger was born in Kansas City, MO to Bonnie Jean Koger and Benny Koger. Her father was a part of the Navy Seabees. Sheri’s childhood was spent building the foundation of her wanderlust and love of travel. She was good at everything she endeavored to do. Hobbies of Sheri’s included cooking, baking, sewing, crochet, storytelling, reading and learning.

Sheri is survived by her daughter Brandi Caldwell of Wetumka, daughter Casey Carter and husband TJ Carter of Wetumka, her long-time partner Richard Roush, of Wetumka, and son by proxy Matt Rockwell and wife Ashley Rockwell and their children Kaylan, Ryleigh, and Maddox of Jacktown. Sheri had two grandsons Trey Carter and Easton Carter, and two granddaughters Dahlia Caldwell and Aster Caldwell. Sheri is also survived by her mother, Bonnie Koger of Wetumka.

Sheri was preceded in death by her father, Benny Koger, brother Terry Koger, sister Susan Robinson, and husband Kenny Hill. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends that will miss her smile, laughs, and stories. The loss of her light will be felt for lifetimes.
