Our sympathies extended to the families of Frances Geneva Smith

Frances Geneva Smith was born June 5, 1936 in Doniphan, Missouri to Charles and Virginia (Nelson) Martin and passed from this life at the age of 85.

Mrs. Smith moved from Missouri to California as a child with her family. There she attended the McFarland School. As a young lady she married Carson Smith on April 6, 1953 and they made their home in the Bakersfield area. This year they celebrated 69 years of marriage. She worked for several years for the Bellridge Packing Company in Bakersfield. She had her husband moved to Oklahoma in 1997 following their retirement and settled in the Weleetka area. She had been affiliated with the Allen Free Will Baptist Church.

She loved arts and crafts and was very talented in making dolls, ceramics, and needle craft. She also enjoyed working in her yard which was evidenced by the beautiful flowers she grew.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by three sons, Michael Ray Smith, Randall Wayne Smith, and Terry William Smith and by one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include: her husband Carson Smith of the home’ 3 daughters, Brenda Jean Millikin of Henryetta, Ginger Stafford of Weleetka, and Margo Berool of Bakersfield, California; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 18 at 2 pm at the Wetumka Cemetery with Rev. Larry Chesser officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Millikin, Jr., Randy Millikin III, Mark Stane, Jerrad Flower, Jack Smith, Jr. and Christopher Smith. Interment will follow under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Weleetka and Wetumka.
