Nathaniel “Nathan” Dean Abercrombie

Nathaniel “Nathan” Dean Abercrombie passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 36 after a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Nathan was born May

18, 1982 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Wewoka High School in 2000. He worked for many years at Johnson Tires in Holdenville. He enjoyed time with his uncle Ray shooting guns, going to OU games and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder. He loved going to Little Sahara and riding 4 wheelers, dune buggies and motor cycles with his uncles, cousins and other family and friends. Nathan was very loyal to those he loved and cared for. To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement!

Nathan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gurdon and Ruby Johnson, and his sister, Bethanie Crawford.

He is survived by his mother Donna and her husband Don Kimrey of Wewoka; nephew, Tyler Crawford of Wewoka; special aunt and uncle Ray and Mary Sanderson of Wewoka; aunts and uncles, Dewayne and Karen Johnson of Wewoka, and Saundra and Tom Morris of Wewoka; cousins Scott Johnson of Wewoka, Stefanie Renfro of Noble, Jason Morris of Wewoka, Ethan Sanderson of Weleetka, and Rachel Sanderson of Wewoka; and a host of relatives on his father’s side; godchildren Madilyn Hulsey, Kyler Samson and Kaden Samson whom Nathan loved as if they were his own children, all of Allen.

Funeral service was held 1:00 p.m. Monday December 31st , at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Lewis officiating and burial following at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Hail, Noah Hail, Brad Lindemann, Dylan Lockett, Andy Crockett and Aaron Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were his cousins.

Funeral services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
