Jeffrey Scott White

Jeffrey Scott White went to be the Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at St John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 63.
Jeff was born on February 16, 1962 at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to T. W.
White, Jr. and Betty Lou (Bennett) White.
He had health issues as a young child but was able to live with his family at home for several years, attending church and family gatherings. Jeff moved with the family to Tulsa in 1967 and attended both the Sunnyside School for Children and Disney Elementary School’s Special Education Classes.
At age 11, in 1973, Jeff moved into the newly created Hissom Memorial Center in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and stayed there until 1984. He then lived at the Gatesway Foundation from then until 1996, when he became a client of the Goodwill Industries, living in his own house with a roommate and 24/7 specialized care.
He has been under the expert care of Independent Opportunities since 1999.
Jeff worked various small, supervised jobs over the years, as his health conditions allowed.
Jeff’s favorite things in life were his family - he was especially fond of his uncles Jack (J. D.)
Bennett, Harry L. Bennett, and Bob Bennett. He loved Christmas, birthdays, family gatherings, receiving and sending greeting cards, and watching old TV shows.
Before he was unable to get out of the house much, he liked going to church, Wal- Mart, and the IOI office. Jeff never met a stranger and was always eager to help others.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, T. W. and Betty (Bennett) White, his paternal grandparents, T.
W. White, Sr. and Florence White, and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lula Bennett, all of the Holdenville area.
Jeff leaves behind his brother, Todd W. White, and his wife Shirley, of Sapulpa; a niece, Hannah Dietrich and her husband, Richard, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nephew Seth White and his wife, LeAnna, of Bristow, Oklahoma; plus six greatnieces, and three greatnephews.
