Elmo Franklin Johnson passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Elmo was born October 20, 1937 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Johnny Ray Johnson and Vellow (Holmes) Johnson. He served in the US Army at age 16, medically discharged at age 22. Elmo married Goldie Mae Arnold on November 11, 1979 in Carson City, Nevada. He attended Real Estate School in Porterville, California. Elmo was a self-employed contractor in the home construction industry. He enjoyed raising and breeding chickens, playing poker, and fishing. Elmo loved his grandkids and family.

Elmo was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Everet Johnson, Timothy Johnson and Loraine Burnitski.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years of marriage, Goldie Johnson of the home; children Ginger Johnson of Montana, Robert Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Scott Johnson and wife Tammi of Spokane, Washington, Diana Johnson of Porterville, California, Kristy Bryant and husband James of Seminole, and Eric Johnson of Petersburg, Nebraska; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
