He was the son of the late Romeo and Louise Swain Alford of Clearview, owners of the original All-Black Clearview Rodeo. With his death, the rodeo ceased to be. This was a huge loss to the family and to the town of Clearview. But their memories live on. His wife Brenda and daughter Jordan continue to maintain the legacy and the grounds. Hopefully, they will return the rodeo to Clearview.
