Patsy was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, Dow Bean and Inez Abernathy bean. She attended schools in Oklahoma and Kansas, including the University of Wichita. Patsy moved to Albuquerque as a young woman and briefly worked at Gulton Industries where she met George H. Elliott. They were married on September 29, 1962. Patty then worked at General Motors Corporation (GMAC) for 30 years until retirement. Patty and George enjoyed travel to all of the States and Europe. Her oil paintings reflected her early childhood spent in Oklahoma and her love of rural Oklahoma. The couple enjoyed a long retirement until George passed away on March 12, 2011.
