According to documents filed in the District Court of Pottawatomie County, on February 27, Calvin Public Schools teacher and basketball coach Nathan T. Holland, 32, has been charged with multiple felonies in connection to an incident that occurred in Shawnee on January 4. These charges include one count of r ape first degree, one count of rape first degree by instrumentation (fingers), two counts of forcible sodomy, and one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

MANY OF US “OLD TIMERS” still remember the Liberty Theater in Holdenville. It was located at 116 N. Broadway where the HSPS Art Center is now located. I believe it was the last theater where you could still buy popcorn for a nickel. This picture was shared with us years ago by the late Tippy Bruner.
