Wetumka, Oklahoma. Malia Mealer, a member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Wes Watkins Technology Center has been named one of the 2020 recipients of the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship. Malia was chosen as one of the 250 NTHS members to receive this $1,000 scholarship, based on her ability to consistently exemplify the seven-character attributes of NTHS – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.

We’re Back! There were seven Red Hat Ladies that met at The Jazz Restaurant, June 13th for our monthly meeting. This was the first time we had met since March! There were several ladies missing due to company, illness or working. We missed them!

It begins with the ladies bringing their sandwiches, chips etc. and enjoying a fellowship meal and then “let the games begin”! Playing were Sharon Dilday and Shirley Hardwick, Barbara Tiger and Joyce Brinlee, Cindy McDaniel and Selma Fitzhugh and Arjean Williams.
