The Hughes County OHCE Atwood Club was awarded the traveling trophy at this year’s district OHCE meeting for traveling with the biggest percentage of members the farthest distance. This year’s meeting was held at the Atoka Convention Center. At the meeting members learned about all sorts of projects from Sewing, nutrition and even Gardening. They will bring this new knowledge back to the county and put it to use with local projects throughout the year. We even got to listen to Pake McEntire for our lunch entertainment. The district meeting is always a great way for us to find new proj-ects and bring them back to our communities. If you would like more information on how you too can be a part of this educational club, call the local extension office at 405-379- 5470. In attendance were Tochie Cates, LaTrishia Sherry, Beverly Chapman and Murphy McDaniel.
