Edith Mae Harjo Price was born November 28, 1931 to the late Len and Leona Harjo in Bearden, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by daughter, Vikie Marsha Johnson and grandson, Christopher Nunley.

She attended elementary school in Clearview, Oklahoma. She attended Carver Junior High School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1949. She was married to Walter W. Shelby and Troy H Price.

Edith retired from Hissom memorial in Sand Springs, Oklahoma as a supervisor after 21 years of service. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 2014.

She joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church under Pastor Karl Theile where she November 28, 1931 – February 28, 2024 Memorial Services Saturday – April 27, 2024 Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Tulsa, Oklahoma Pastor Gary Shelby, Officiant was a faithful and dedicated member until the end. Edith’s favorite Bible verse was Psalm 37: 23-29. Edith passed away on February 28, 2024 at the home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Deborah Thomas, Cala Jennings, both of Kansas City, Missouri, and Francis Wilson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, son, Gar D. Shelby (Lourdas), of Austin, Texas, eight grandchildren, Brian, Curtis (Becky, Brandon (Evette). Kenneth (Darla), Guy (Tarsha), Angel, Billy Joe, and Gary Jr., twenty-one great- grand- child and four great-greatg rand-children, special cousins, Beverly Bruton Taylor, Etheleen Scott and Marjorie Plunkett, special friends, Pastor & Mrs. Donald and Barbara Dallman, and Pasto Richar Solberg.
